  • 4 monkfish (anglerfish) steaks
  • 2 mackerels
  • 2 goatfish
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 bouquet garni (parsley, thyme, bayleaves…..)
  • salt and pepper
  • 800 g potatoes
  • 40 g butter
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • Recipe preparation steps

    Cut the mackerels and goatfish in large sections. Peel and mince the shallots ; peel the potatoes and cut them in sections.

    In a casserole, fry the shallot in the heated butter for 2-3 minutes. Add the wine, plus 1 liter hot water, then add the bouquet garni, the potatoes, salt and pepper. Cook for 15 minutes, then add the fish and let simmer for another 10 minutes.

    Strain the fish and potatoes with a skimmer. Evenly display the fish in individual soup dishes and pour some stock on it.

    Serve right away. This is ideal for a cold-night dinner !
