Recipe preparation steps

Toss the
lettuce
in the vinaigrette.

Rinse the anchovy fillets in cold running water and pat dry.

Pound the
garlic
with a pestle and mortar until smooth.

Then pound the anchovy fillets into the
garlic
until smooth.

Beat in the
oil
, a little at a time until a smooth paste is formed.

Spread on the
toast
and
place
on top of the
lettuce
and serve
