The folks at this old-fashioned candy shop believe that candy making is not a process. For them, it's an art. The owners began candy making as a family in 1921 in an old, one-room schoolhouse, and little has changed. The freshest cream, butter, sugar, roasted nuts and fruits come together in all manner of heavenly creations. Enjoy chocolates, pecan rolls, turtles, truffles and even a selection of sugar-free candies. In addition, there are gift boxes of all sizes that can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. The shop is approximately one hour from downtown San Diego off Interstate-8, but well worth the drive.
