A nutritious diet and exercise are the most important choices you can make for your health and your family's health.

spud! makes eating healthy easy with an amazing selection of tasty, healthy food choices. We also have a wide range of products for restricted diets (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, wheat-free, sugar-free).
Good food feeds your body and enriches your spirit.
Eating healthy shouldn't be a research project. At spud! we do the research for you by carefully analyzing every product that we sell. All our fruits and vegetables are bursting with 100% organic flavour and goodness and over 50% of our grocery products are certified organic. When you buy organic you eliminate exposure to pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. You also avoid consuming any genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Further, our grocery products don't contain any artificial ingredients, preservatives or additives and we only source animal products from suppliers that avoid the use of hormones or antibiotics. We know that the foods we choose make us who we are, help us fight disease and help us live longer.
Another way in which our delivery service helps you maintain optimum health is by offering a weekly "Fresh Harvest Box" of 100% certified organic produce. The Fresh Harvest Box is a key component of our service and one of our best value products. You can fully customize your Fresh Harvest Box in terms of quantity, price and variety while still ensuring that each family member gets 5 servings of produce each day, as recommended by the National Cancer Institute.

While the average American spends 90 minutes doing their weekly grocery shopping, our customers spend less than 9 minutes each week. That's 81 minutes each week that you can use to do whatever you want (cook wholesome meals,
spend time with friends and family, get some exercise, read a book, you name it). We also help you save time in other ways as well. With spud! you don't have to take your beverage containers back to the store for a refund. Just put them in your empty bin and we will do it for you. We provide deposit refunds on every beverage container that we sell. We also have over 500 healthy recipes on our website, making it quick and easy to plan healthy meals.

spud! also saves you money. Delivery is FREE on most orders and our prices are competitive. Because we don't have to invest in expensive storefronts, our regular price comparisons show that our grocery product prices are, on average, the same or cheaper than the very same items in a grocery store. Just like regular grocery stores, we offer weekly specials, caselot discounts and a frequent buyer points program. However, unlike grocery stores, we also offer additional savings. For example, we offer a 5% "standing order" discount for most items that you order on a recurring basis (excluding produce, selected dairy items, and some others). We also offer generous rebates when you refer new customers to us.
You save even more by avoiding the fuel and vehicle costs of driving to your local store and back. Considering all these different types of savings, getting your groceries delivered by spud! is a great bargain!

Enjoy the best of fresh and local

spud! Produce picked at its height of ripeness has exceptional flavor and is packed with healthy nutrients. While retail store produce can sit on the shelf for days, most of our produce is brought in fresh every day and delivered within 24 hours. Our breads are baked and delivered on the same day. Now that's fresh!
We further ensure freshness by buying over 50% of our produce from local organic farms and over 50% of our grocery products from local food suppliers (a higher percentage than most retailers). Local products are fresher because they have spent less time being transported. We help keep your produce fresh in other ways as well. Unlike retail stores, which present their produce under bright lights at room temperature where it can quickly deteriorate, all our produce is kept covered and cool until just before it is packed. Further, we handle our produce just once whereas in a grocery store each produce item is handled up to 11 times. We are so confident about the quality of our products that we offer a 100% no quibble guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any product for any reason we will give you a full refund.
With spud!, eating right never tasted so good.

Make a difference

spud! By shopping with spud!, you'll help protect the soil and water by buying organic products. By making fewer trips to the store, you'll also help reduce air pollution and traffic congestion.
Through our Community Care program, you'll further help those in need in our community. Last year we contributed over $50,000 in cash and in-kind donations to support a variety of local community groups. The choices we make together help sustain our community, reduce our impact on the earth and improve the local economy. With all the decisions we face every day, isn't it nice to know that some of them are already taken care of?
At spud! we work hard to be environmentally sound and socially responsible. We recycle almost all our office paper, cardboard and beverage containers. We use reusable containers in which to transport our groceries, thereby eliminating the need for disposable shopping bags. We also sell a broad selection of eco-friendly products, from recycled toilet paper to phosphate free cleaners. Further, because our products are pre-ordered, we generate far less food waste than a regular grocery store.
We sell a wide range of Fair Trade products, ensuring that workers receive fair wages and adequate working conditions (we were one of the first in North America to sell Fair Trade bananas). We sell only wild caught salmon and ethically raised meat products. We also try to support the local economy by buying as local as possible. We make it possible for you to do the same by letting you know how far each product has traveled to get to our warehouse. We can help you learn more about the environment and local community initiatives through our website and weekly newsletter, The Garlic Press.

Our goal is nothing less than to change the world - one grocery order at a time.
