Opening our first store in San Diego, Ca. back in 1986, we at NIJIYA Market have come a long way by providing you with the best in high quality foods. At the beginning Nijiya Market offered Japanese groceries and other ingredients to the local community. But as the years progressed we came to understand that our services did not stop at the exit of our stores. They actually began the moment the customer purchased our food and set it on their kitchen counter. We care about the outcome of the dinner they prepared, the taste and freshness, and how healthy it all adds up. Our mission is to present you the best ingredients and appetizing Japanese style meals by providing you with fresh, delicious, natural, organic, Japanese oriented foods and the whole concept of LIVING and fine service.
CHERRY BLOSSOM BAKERY and Cake KOBO
Nijiya Market currently has a full size bakery that operates daily. Fresh bread loafs and sweet breads are delivered to our stores. The bakery operates daily, baking Japanese style breads loaf, soymilk breads and sweet pastries with original recipes. Additionally, all of our subtle tasting cakes are hand made from scratch in our “Cake Kobo” cake factory.
Nijiya Farm
The birth of our organic farm shows our commitment to organic vegetable, hence limiting the amount of unnatural chemicals that gather in our bodies. Organic produce contains absolutely no chemicals of any kind due to the use of all natural fertilizers and eradication of pests by manpower. The actual taste, shape and form of our organic produce have improved so immensely, that they have become superior in all aspects. Since we have mastered the art of cultivating with our own organic seeds we currently sell the products we produce. It is unfortunate that we are not able to supply all of our demands.
