or breakfast, lunch or dinner, the restaurant le Meurice proposes each day a rich, subtle and various menu. Precise and without any extravagance, faithful to true flavours and an extreme well groomed presentation, the three-star cuisine of Chef Yannick Alléno is not only modern, but also audacious. "I always think of what could please to the others", says Yannick Alléno, very simply, as an inconvertible law. The Chef Sommelier conveys his precious advice for the tasting of exquisite wines…
To the end of this real gastronomic tour, the new concept of tableware imagined by Chef Yannick Alléno and the different pieces of furniture and animations created with the restaurant’s teams will captivate you : an unseen collection of plates drawn by Yannick Alléno himself, a champagne table and a refrigerated wine cellar open to the dining room which contains 616 bottles. The oldest is a Château Cos D'Estournel 1928 Saint Estèphe and the most recent one is a Romanée Conti Grand Cru 2004. Finally, you will find the Chef’s table… One thing is sure: you will not get bored!
But not only your palate will be satisfied… also your eyes will be astonished by the wonderful decoration of the gastronomic restaurant’s room. Inspired by the Salon de la Paix at the Chateau de Versailles, the decoration of the restaurant le Meurice reinterpreted by Philippe Starck in 2007 is a real invitation to a unique rapture. This 17th century “grand siècle”-style decor is based on three paintings dating from 1905 to 1907, the first phase of the refurbishment of Le Meurice since it opened. Theophile Poilpot (1848-1915) was a French Académie painter who painted in the “pompier” style.
Once the majestic door in glass with gilding opened, you will discover the ancient mirors and chandeliers and the noble materials such as the bronze, the marbles and other fresco. The romantic elegance is at his highest peak when you look through the majestic windows to the Tuileries Gardens. This new decoration plays with very noble colours which represent pureness: white, silver and the natural light make this room exceptionally harmonious.
