he olive grove of the GUEURY family numbers 4200 olive trees divided in three production zone, one of them just below the Cezanne shelter (Sainte Victoire mountain) for a total surface of 22 hectares ( 54 acres). All our olives are grown according to organic farming rules.
The varieties of olives grown are typical of the Aix-en-Provence region : Aglandau, Salonenque and Cayanne.
The olive oil we produce comes from specific varieties and terroirs defined by the INAO, the French institute in charge of defining AOCs (AOC, controlled term of origin, means a wine coming from a specific region conforming with specific standards).
On top of our own production of oil, we also grind private individuals’ olive crop for a fee. This represents about a hundred metric tons of olives for a yield of about 20,000 litres of olive oil.
